Diamond Star, CDSG’s predecessor, first embarked on its journey in the wheat flour business when it established its first mill in Mandalay, only capable of producing 1-ton per day, in 1980’s. Today, its mills in Yangon and Mandalay have a combined capacity of 1,160 tons per day, making it the largest flour mill and market-leading miller in Myanmar. Since 2015, the wheat flour business has been operating under Lluvia Limited, a joint venture between CDSG and Mitsubishi Corporation.

Aventine Ltd., a subsidiary of Lluvia Limited under CDSG, is one of Myanmar’s leading exporters of agricultural commodities, supporting local farmers. The company sources a wide range of crops including paddy, corn, potatoes, green mung beans, pulses, and other produce from across the country.

Originally operating under Diamond Star Co., Ltd., CDSG’s entire Agribusiness division was consolidated into its subsidiary, Aventine Limited (“Aventine”), in 2014, which later became a member of Lluvia. Today, Aventine is one of the leading players in Agri Input Marketing and Agri Commodities Trading in Myanmar.

Branded Consumer Foods business (“BCF”) under Lluvia Limited, a joint venture between CDSG and Mitsubishi Corporation, is the manufacturer and distributor of a diverse portfolio of branded consumer foods products – including Myanmar’s number one instant coffee brand, Premier. BCF has an extensive distribution network across Myanmar and leverages strong partnerships with regional and global partners to continually expand its product portfolio and bring Myanmar-made products to international markets.

International Bulk Terminal Thilawa (“IBTT”) is a joint venture between Lluvia Limited (CDSG-Mitsubishi JV), Kamigumi and Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corp (“JOIN”). It is located at Plot 30 and 31(A) of Thilawa Port Zone, Kyauk Tan Township in Yangon. IBTT’s objective is to help Myanmar for reducing of import and export logistics costs by providing efficient port facilities service for bulk carriers and handling of crop and bulk cargoes.
